What drew you to your current role/company?
After completion of my General Surgery Residency, I completed the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Reading Hospital from July 2018 through June of 2019. Reading Hospital is a great place to work, so I joined the team of Trauma Surgeons in August 2019
What is your favorite thing about working in Greater Reading?
What I love about working in Greater Reading is the people. Although Reading Hospital is a large medical center, we still have a community hospital and “small town” feel. Its nice working with colleagues that I consider friends.
Tell us one thing about Tower Health that someone else might not know!
Tower Health truly does have cutting edge technology and is pushing to expand the scope of services that we can provide to the Greater Reading area, such as the recent addition of the Tower Health Transplant Institute. Here at Tower Health, you can make your career what you want it to be – if you are interested in research there are ample opportunities. If you are interested in teaching, we have excellent medical students and residents who are eager and ready to learn. If you want to be involved in the IT or administrative side of things, there are always opportunities available.
How has your Tower Health helped you develop your skills?
Since I started as a Surgical Critical Care Fellow in 2018, I have been able to lecture at local and regional surgical, trauma and EMS conferences. which is excellent for professional development. One of the best ways to develop skills is to teach others. Through teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, I have been able to develop skills as a surgeon, educator and mentor.
