Aftermarket Production Supervisor, Seakeeper
Lives in: Saint Lawrence
In November 2007, Chad Davis was hired as a machine operator for JOMA Machine Company of Mohnton, which Seakeeper had contracted to machine the components that go into its products. The two companies merged in 2011. Throughout the years, Davis has worn many hats. Machine Operator, Factory Acceptance Test technician, Engineering Support Team, Advanced Manufacturing Team and now Aftermarket Operations.
His role as Aftermarket Production Supervisor is to support and lead the team responsible for transforming returned products into remanufactured Seakeeper units. He drives continuous improvement throughout our production and manufacturing process, increasing capacity and improving operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Davis takes immense pride in being a part of the handful of people at the company who can say they’ve been a part of Seakeeper since the beginning. He likes to think they were instrumental in the growth during those early years and is honored that he can continue to do so in any capacity.
Davis says Seakeeper is a blend of an adhocracy, collaborative and creative cultures where department leaders empower their teams to achieve their goals. The departments work together to create an industry-leading product that is transforming the boating experience for so many.
Reading, Pa., is Davis’ hometown, which he says has so much to offer—parks, hiking, community events, shopping, plenty of dining options and history. There’s no shortage of career opportunities either with manufacturing and health care being predominant in the area.
