Greater Reading offers many unique places to perform yoga – warehouses, farms, rooftops, wineries, breweries, on top of Hawk Mountain or next to Blue Marsh Lake. BLDG. 7 Yoga, located in the heart of Wyomissing, offers multi-dimensional yoga classes for every skill level and age group.
BLDG. 7 Yoga was created in 2015 by Linda Zogas after having a desire to teach and practice yoga in one location in many different styles. Zogas began rooftop yoga in downtown Reading while her studio at 220 N. Park Road #7 was being built. Zogas approached Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub to spark new interest and expose her clientele to a great downtown restaurant.
Every Wednesday and Sunday yoga and beer meet on the rooftop of Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub’s parking garage at 692 Franklin St., Reading. An hour of yoga is performed while listening to Jazz music. After class, attendees head to the Brewpub for a beer and farm-to-table style eats. If you attend yoga on Sunday, it is recommended you stay after for Saucony Creek’s Sunday brunch! They offer everything from eggs to shrimp & grits to tacos and burgers.
Greater Reading is home to many craft breweries. Saucony Creek Brewing Company has figured out a way to stand out from the rest. It is a forward-thinking independent brewery fashioning hyper-local adventurous beers. It has a large network of brewers, farmers, craftsmen and adventures that have inspired its farm-to-table food menu and beers. Saucony Creek Brewing Company is named after the creek and water source that runs through Saucony Creek’s production grounds in Kutztown.
Its 15-barrel brewhouse system supplies beer for its two locations Kuztown Brewery + Pub, Kutztown and Saucony Creek Franklin Station, Reading. Both locations have a full events schedule with not only yoga, but also live music, cornhole, bike nights, etc.
Greater Reading is chock full of activities and good eats. For the full Greater Reading experience, we suggest you wind down with rooftop yoga followed by Saucony’s Kutztown Lager, a true Pennsylvania Dutch crafted lager.
