WCR Center for the Arts Receives Grant for Dynamic Music Program

The WCR Center for the Arts has been awarded an $8,100 grant from the Reading Musical Foundation, providing vital support for its 2025–2026 Musical Performance Program. This funding will enable the center to enrich the local arts scene and broaden access to music education in Reading through a diverse lineup of concerts and workshops. The season will feature signature events including Teacher Recitals, Guitar-A-Rama with international performers, a Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest performance, and YogaSing™ with Suzanne Jackson, all hosted within its historic 19th-century venue known for exceptional acoustics. The grant underscores the Reading Musical Foundation’s nearly century-long commitment to sustaining and growing Greater Reading’s vibrant music community.
