Where are you from originally? Sai Gon, Vietnam

What inspired you to pursue an internship in Greater Reading? I was drawn to Greater Reading because of the opportunity to intern with the Berks County Medical Society. It’s known as one of the most respected medical organizations in the country, and I really connect with the organization’s mission to serve a diverse community with compassion. That focus on both excellent care and inclusivity made me feel like this would be a meaningful place to learn and grow.

How has your experience in Greater Reading shaped your academic or career goals?  My experiences in Greater Reading have given me a deeper understanding of the career I want to pursue. I’ve become more aware of both my strengths and areas for growth, and I’ve learned how to navigate and make use of the many resources available in the community. These experiences have helped me grow both personally and professionally, and have strengthened my motivation to continue working toward a career in medicine.

What advice would you give other students considering internships in Greater Reading? What makes Greater Reading truly special is its people. They genuinely care and work tirelessly to create meaningful opportunities for both personal and professional growth. One of the best ways to start exploring those opportunities is by making an appointment with the Career Services office at Penn State. They can help guide you and connect you with the right resources to start building your path to success.

If someone is visiting the Greater Reading area, what hidden gem would you recommend they check out? I would recommend visiting the West Reading area for its amazing food and beverages. I’d also suggest catching a performance at Genesius Theatre. The talented local artists put on incredible shows that give visitors a closer look at the area’s creative spirit and vibrant arts community.
