Reading will soon get a long-awaited skate park

Reading City Council has awarded $1.6 million contract to Grindline Skateparks of Seattle for the construction of a skatepark at 601 Canal Street. This cast-in-place concrete skatepark has been long-awaited and will take about 18 months to complete. Once the park in Reading is complete, it is likely to attract professional tours, demonstrations and other events.
