Reading School District to create ‘Knight’s Keep’ to meet needs of students without homes

Reading School District has created a new space, called the ‘Knight’s Keep’, to help the needs of students experiencing homelessness. “So this would be students that are lacking stable and fixed housing,” said Leanne Eckenrode, coordinator of social work services for Reading School District. “Any need that they would have, we want to really fill it as part of this room.” The initiative follows the success of the Knight’s Closet, a district-run program that supplies students with everyday necessities.”
