Reading Named One of Three Official Hosts for Free 2026 FIFA World Cup Fan Zones

Pennsylvania is launching three free 2026 FIFA World Cup Fan Zones in Reading, Scranton and Pittsburgh to ensure residents across the Commonwealth can join the global celebration. These zones will feature large-screen match broadcasts, live entertainment, and interactive soccer experiences. In Reading, the action will be centered at the Santander Arena with a massive block party on Penn Street featuring vendors and kid-friendly activities. With Philadelphia hosting six matches, including a major Round of 16 game on July 4, the state anticipates drawing 500,000 visitors and generating a $770 million economic impact. This initiative is part of a broader $50 million investment to prepare Pennsylvania for a landmark year of sports and the nation’s 250th anniversary.
