RACC Awarded $150,000 for Student Parent Programs

State Representative Manuel Guzman has announced a $150,000 grant for Reading Area Community College (RACC) to assist students who are also parents. Awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Parent Pathways program, this funding is designed to help student parents manage the unique financial and logistical pressures of pursuing a degree. RACC will use the funds to provide tuition assistance, emergency financial aid and specialized support services aimed at reducing the barriers that often prevent parents from completing their education.
