Travis Mauger

Travis Mauger, a first-generation college graduate from Exeter Township, exemplifies a commitment to service and mental health advocacy. After joining the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and experiencing deployment during the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, Mauger pursued a psychology degree at Penn State Berks. Excelling academically, he earned a scholarship through the Cohen-Hammel Fellows Program, conducted research on occupational culture’s impact on help-seeking behavior and actively participated in community outreach and global awareness initiatives. Inspired by his military experience, Mauger aims to become a clinical psychologist for the National Guard and the U.S. Office of Veterans Affairs, emphasizing mental health improvements within the Army.
