The Berks County Community Foundation’s Innovation Fund has awarded $102,500 in grants to 10 local environmental projects, aiming to address critical challenges and promote sustainable practices across Berks County. These grants support initiatives focused on improving environmental health and climate resiliency. Recipients include Albany Township for a wildflower garden, Berks Nature for watershed restoration and municipal outreach, and the Borough of Lyons for stream restoration. Other projects receiving funds will support clean energy, reduce single-use plastics, and build an education garden, all contributing to strengthening the community’s adaptation to climate change impacts.
