Main Street Monday: Boyertown’s Bear Fever Project

Boyertown’s unique public art installation, the Bear Fever Project, has been bringing the community together for over 20 years. Inspired by similar projects in Chicago and Washington, D.C., retired teacher Jane Stahl and graphic designer Paul Stahl launched the initiative, resulting in over 90 whimsically decorated bear statues throughout the town. These colorful fiberglass bears, each with a special theme, are prominently displayed at businesses and residences, celebrating Boyertown’s community spirit and the talents of local artists.
