GoogleWorks and Lauer’s Park offer ‘Sweet Relief’ through Beekeeping

The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts Gardens at Lauer’s Park has a new program, called “Sweet Relief,” that will engage youth and adults through the processes of beekeeping and honey making. Bees are most known for their honey, but Googleworks leaders say their wax honeycomb provide unique value to artists. “Sweet Relief will yield honey and beeswax for retail and art sales, but the primary focus of the program is education and community engagement.
