Where do you live? Sinking Spring
Tell us a little how you are making Greater Reading a better place.
For me, being an active local shopper is hugely important. Ensuring we stimulate the local economy is essential for now and the future. My favorite place on Penn Ave is Muddy Creek, and I love the Fairgrounds Farmers Market in Temple!
Volunteering my time is also something I enjoy doing and have volunteered across several organizations such as Helping Harvest and Children’s Home of Reading. With the world of education still suffering from the lasting effects of COVID-19, I plan to return to school districts and help with after school activities when possible.
What do you want outsiders to know about the Greater Reading community?
Reading isn’t like any other local community. People who have lived here all their lives are such supporters and believe that the Greater
Reading area will continue to thrive and are thankful to call Reading their home. With that, they welcome new residents with open arms and warm hearts. I have made lifelong friends here and can truly say I owe that to Reading and its diversity.
Name an organization that you think is doing amazing work in Greater Reading that you want others to know about.
Greater Reading Young Professionals (GRYP)! As a previous board member, this organization truly welcomes all into a world that will help you grow both personally and professionally. If you are looking to get involved in social, educational and community-based events, check out GRYP.
