From Virtual to Reality
CatapalloVR uses technology to teach life skills
By Kryn McClain, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, CatapolloVR
CatapalloVR, headquartered in Greater Reading, was founded in 2023. We are a virtual reality (VR) company focused on helping intellectually disabled individuals develop essential life skills. We create VR modules to help this population build muscle memory and learn in a safe environment.
With its thriving community and proactive approach to disability inclusion, Greater Reading offers an ideal ecosystem for our business to flourish and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with diverse abilities. As members of the O’Pake Institute, renowned for its dedication to disability advocacy and research, we have a strong foundation of support and resources for our initiatives. Moreover, the county boasts community leaders who are passionate about fostering inclusivity, ensuring a receptive environment for our programs and collaboration with local businesses.
We believe that everyone deserves a chance to contribute to the community. Through our specialized VR modules, we equip individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in situations and overall living.
Additionally, our modules focus on employment opportunities. Modules include interview preparation and industry-specific skills. By partnering with local companies, we aim to provide comprehensive training and support to help these individuals successfully integrate into the workforce.
By fostering a culture of acceptance, understanding and equality, we can create a work environment where individuals of all abilities can thrive. We invite other professionals to join us in this endeavor, as we believe that VIRTUALLY anything is possible.
