The Southern Berks Industrial Park has received over $2.8 million in state funding to enhance its infrastructure and attract new businesses. A $2.3 million grant from the Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites (PA SITES) program will fund the construction of water and sewer lines on a 107-acre parcel within the 1,139-acre park. Additionally, a $500,000 grant from the state’s Multimodal Transportation Fund will support transportation improvements. These investments aim to prepare the site for up to 900,000 square feet of light industrial development, fostering economic growth and job creation in Berks County.
