OurBus, a New York-based company, will launch a new bus route between Reading and Philadelphia next week, following Amtrak’s recent discontinuation of its service. The route, expected to begin by March 21, will offer expanded scheduling, park-and-ride options, and a direct connection to Philadelphia International Airport to accommodate travelers. Bus stops will be kept as close as possible to the current route to ensure seamless connections with local public transportation like BARTA, PART, and SEPTA. Initial plans include three daily round trips, with an additional weekend night service from the airport. The route will primarily use sprinter vans and minibuses, with full-sized buses available on high-demand days. Operated by Super Trans and Airport Connection Express Services, ticket prices will start at $24 for Reading to Philadelphia and $45 for trips to the airport.
