Boscov’s CEO Jim Boscov called the site the best piece of real estate in Wyomissing, highlighting how much potential has gone unused in recent years. The sale follows a long stretch of safety concerns, visible decline, and growing public pressure as the property continued to deteriorate. Reports say the developer plans to tear down almost the entire mall, keeping only the Boscov’s anchor store. In its place, they intend to build a new open-air retail space, marking a significant investment in the nearly 60-acre site and a chance to reset the future of this key property.
